2. Electrical Safety Testing

To test the grounding, use the multimeter to measure the resistance between the grounding pin of the plug and the metal parts of the heater. The resistance should be very low, close to zero. If the resistance is high, it means the grounding is not working correctly, and the heater could be a shock hazard.
  • Leakage Current Test: This test is all about checking if there’s any electrical current leaking from the heater to the outer casing. You can use a leakage current tester for this. Plug the heater in and turn it on, then attach the tester to the heater’s casing.   • Airflow Test: A good fan heater should be able to circulate air efficiently. You can test the airflow by holding a piece of tissue paper near the heater’s exhaust. The paper should be blown away easily. If the airflow is weak, it could mean that the fan is not working properly or that there’s a blockage in the heater. A blocked heater can overheat because it can’t dissipate heat effectively.
  • Noise Test: While it’s normal for a fan heater to make some noise when it’s running, excessive noise could be a sign of a problem. Listen carefully to the heater as it’s operating. If you hear any rattling, grinding, or screeching noises, it could mean that there’s a loose part or a problem with the fan motor. A faulty motor can overheat and cause other safety issues.

5. Durability Testing
